Behind BC Sharp is Chris Werme—a professional who has spent over a decade immersed in the shear industry.

Chris began his career as a sales representative for Hattori Hanzo Shears, where he quickly became one of the company's top sales reps and developed an extensive knowledge of professional shears. More than simply selling shears, he built his reputation by helping stylists and barbers find the right shear for their individual cutting style, technique, and needs.

Chris spent years living and working in Scottsdale, Arizona, where his passion for the industry continued to grow. In 2020, he met his now wife, and after several years of travelling back and forth between Arizona and British Columbia, they decided to make Squamish home and start their family.

Today, Chris brings that same passion, experience, and attention to detail to professionals throughout British Columbia. With a strong working relationship with Hattori Hanzo in the United States, BC Sharp combines trusted industry knowledge with personalized service, whether it's professional sharpening, shear repairs, or helping you find the perfect pair of shears. Chris takes tremendous pride in his work and believes every stylist and barber deserves tools they can truly love working with.
